Event Details
This month's Liberal Perspective at 7pm on Monday 1st December at Bombay Delight on The Broadway, Wimbledon, will feature a discussion, led by 2026 council candidate for West Barnes ward Mariam Hakim on understanding Islamophobia.
This interactive event will discuss the roots and impact of Islamophobia and promote practical solutions, both at a national and local community level.
Mariam will explore the current widely accepted definition of Islamophobia (adopted by the Lib Dems) as well as share real life examples, insights into historical myths and explore how to reframe narratives. There will be a quiz 🧠✍ and time for a Q&A 🙋.
Lib Dem London Assembly Member and Cllr Hina Bokhari will speak about Islamophobia training.
The event comes at the end of what has been Islamophobia Awareness Month in the UK.
