CHOICES, CHALLENGES AND CHANGE:
International Women’s Day in Chesham - Saturday 8th March, 2pm (for 2:30) to 4:30pm
Come along and meet women from a range of international backgrounds who will share their education and career choices and challenges. If you are starting out on a first career, planning a new one or interested in the insights shared by our speakers, this free community event is perfect for you.
Our speakers are successful local women in business and education with international careers and fascinating stories to tell. Teachers from Sri Lankan and Ukrainian backgrounds will illustrate how they have met challenges in the evolution of career choices. After a tea break a coach and coaching skills trainer will guide discussion on decision-making, change and much more.
You will have the chance to raise questions and explore issues that women and girls frequently face in pursuing their goals. Find out how and why we make key (and often difficult) decisions, and achieve the changes needed to make the most of opportunities.
We are meeting at the White Hill Centre, White Hill, Chesham, HP5 1AG on Saturday 8th March. Come at any time from 2pm (for presentations and discussion from 2:30 to 4:30pm) and be inspired!
Refreshments will be free. The bar lounge and lecture room are wheelchair accessible and free parking is available. Reserving a place is recommended but not essential.
Hosted by Rachel Dineley, Diversity Officer of Chesham & Amersham Liberal Democrats, everyone is welcome, whether pursuing a career or intrigued to learn more. To be sure of your place, book a free ticket now.
