Somerset Council: A Transformation

 Cllr Liz Leyshon, Deputy Leader of the Council and Lead Member for Resources and Performance, and Cllr Theo Butt Philip, Lead Member for Transformation and Human Resources, will be joined by Bill Revans, Leader of the Council and Lead Member for Governance and Communications, to describe their response to the parlous state of the Council that they inherited on winning control in 2022. With many Councils up and down the country finding it impossible to achieve a balanced budget, Somerset's ingenuity and resourcefulness is a beacon and a lesson to other struggling authorities. Learn how Somerset Council's finances and organisation have been transformed, achieving a balanced budget and conserving essential services.
