Event Details

Join us on Sunday, September 1st (2pm to 5pm) for lunch, drinks and fun in the stunning Somerset countryside - the latest of our legendary summer garden parties.

The setting (precise location details will be revealed to guests shortly before the event) is in the magnificent grounds of an old water mill. Stroll in the shade of a variety of trees and ornamental bushes to the riverside where you’ll see the meandering River Frome. You’ll also be able to enjoy the sound of live music and, in fact, this venue has hosted many open air music concerts and theatrical performances.

On arrival, you can partake of a chilled glass of Pimms or a soft drink, and after, our pay bar will keep you topped up with Pimms, wine and beer, or soft drinks. Contactless payments and cash accepted. Lunch (included in the ticket price) will consist of a meat, fish or vegetarian/vegan main course, accompanied by fresh and colourful salads. Dessert of fruit and cream will follow. Later on, tea and coffee will be served. Please let the Events Team know at the time of booking if you have any special dietary requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

This is one of our key fundraising events and to swell the coffers further there will be a fabulous raffle and auction where you can bid for unmissable prizes (if you have an auction item or raffle prize you’d like to donate, the Events Team will be very pleased to hear from you).

Open to all members, supporters, family and friends.

Accessibility information: We aim to ensure our events are as accessible as possible, however, please note:

The venue is a private garden with largely level access from the car park, and in some places steps/slopes to negotiate in the surrounding garden. There is an accessible toilet in the building.

This is a major fundraiser for the Local Party and tickets are priced accordingly. Thanks to kind donations, a number of subsidised places are available, for members for whom the price is a barrier to attend.

Children under 12 are welcome to attend free of charge. Please note that there is a river with some steep banks on the premises. Parents/guardians are asked to keep children away from the water for their safety and to be responsible for them at all times.

If you have any special dietary requirements, please do contact the Events Team at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.

The venue is accessible by car only (not by public transport). Ample and accessible parking is available. Members are encouraged to carpool/bring a friend! Return coach transport can be provided (at no additional charge) from the centres of Bath and Frome – please let us know as soon as possible if this is required .

Please contact the Events Team if you have access requirements or questions about the venue.
