Event Details

You are invited to join Charlie & the Camden Lib Dems as we officially launch the campaign for Holborn and St Pancras - taking on Sir Keir Starmer.

We may not be a target seat (!), but our goal is to make him sit up and take notice of the issues we care about - including Proportional Representation in particular, given his current stance of ignoring the democratic will of his own party: Charlie is also actively championing a fair deal for musicians both in Camden and within the party nationally.

To help with the campaign, we are asking for you to come and enjoy an evening of live music in the heart of Camden (in exchange for a small fee of course) - the money raised from your tickets and the raffle will go to paying our musicians, and then helping to make Keir Starmer sit up and take notice.

The evening will start with background music provided by the UCL Students Union Jazz Society, followed by (short!) speeches and then a performance by Charlie's own band - The 145s.   Nibbles will be provided as well, there will be a bar for you to purchase drinks (of course) and you can expect the usual Lib Dem raffle and some other fundraising fun.

Although launch events always involve championing our candidates, this may possibly be the first time in history that a parliamentary candidate has literally "blown their own trumpet" at such an event* , an occasion surely not to be missed.  (Fun fact: The venue is also named for Humphrey Lyttleton - a famous English Jazz Trumpet player).

Hope to see you there,

*Disclaimer... we have not actually checked the records of all parliamentary candidate launches in history
