Whisky tasting hosted by Alistair Carmichael MP and Zöe Franklin

Come and join Zöe and Alistair for a journey of whisky and nibbles from around Great Britain & Ireland. We will be serving 5 drams as follows:

• Gladstone Axe - The National Liberal Club have kindly donated a bottle of their new house dram
• Wire Works Necessary Evil - a collaboration between a distillery and beer brewer in Derbyshire 
• A Benriach Collective Series Single Cask not available in the shops
• The Glenturret peat smoked 2023 release
• A 'surprise' Irish dram

This event is open to anyone from expert whisky “tasters”, those who have never tried one and anything in between.  Though organised by Liberal Democrats, and with the aim to raise funds to get Zöe elected, this will largely be a non-political evening. Zöe and Alistair will be mingling so do feel free to ask them any questions of interest but all room discussion will be about the food, and most importantly, the whisky.

The Guildfordian-owned Godalming Food Company, better known as The Godalming Deli, will be providing some tasty finger food in the form of cheeses, cold cuts, olives and artisan bread for your enjoyment and to “soak up” some of the excellent drams we will be tasting. They have also generously provided us with a raffle prize for the night.
