Brexit and the City — Beyond Damage Control?
An evening with William Wright
Leaving the European Union hit the City, with people, money, trades and deals moving to Paris and other financial centres. How much worse will it get and how can we turn the tide? William Wright is a founder of the New Financial thinktank, and before that a leading financial journalist. He’s a hard-hitting critic of our financial sector’s failings — and a source of original ideas about how to reform it.
William will be in discussion with our Parliamentary candidate Edward Lucas, who spent decades at the Economist writing about burning issues in international finance. Getting back to Europe as far and as fast as possible is the centrepiece of his campaign.
Don't miss this chance to hear some sizzling insights into the current woes and future chances of our constituency's biggest employer and the country's most important industry.
