Join us at 7pm on Tuesday 16th January at Elmbridge Civic Centre to hear our panel discussion followed by a Q&A and a chance for informal discussion after the event.

Lucy Siegle
Writer, journalist and TV presenter. Lucy has a long history of campaigning on environmental issues, including promoting environmentally sustainable practices in fashion. Lucy has written multiple published books, including the Orwell Prize nominated To Die For.
Event Panel
Tim Farron
MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale since 2005 and current Lib Dem spokesperson for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Throughout his time in Parliament, Tim has passionately campaigned for the environment, including campaigning against river pollution across the UK.
Hugo Tagholm
Hugo is a surfer, campaigner, and environmentalist, currently heading up the global marine conservation NGO, Oceana. He previously led Surfers Against Sewage, campaigning from the beach front to the front benches of Parliament. Hugo has been instrumental in exposing water company sewage pollution.
Alex Adam
Head of Water Stewardship and Deputy Director of Strategy & Stewardship at the Rivers Trust. Alex has worked in multiple environmental protection charities and organisations for over a decade. Alex is also a strong local campaigner, having been a Town Councillor in Godalming since 2019.
Monica Harding
Parliamentary Candidate for the Liberal Democrats in Esher & Walton. The Mole is one of the most polluted rivers in England, and runs through Esher and Walton. Monica has been working hard to raise awareness of the issue and demand change from the Government.
