The UK government’s efforts to counter threats from radicalisation has resulted in tens of thousands of innocent people being impacted by the Prevent Duty, from public sector workers obliged to report any ‘suspicious’ behaviour, to young Muslim children being targeted. Is the policy working? Is it justified? Or is it breaching our fundamental civil liberties?
Two of the UK’s leading Prevent experts, Professor John Holmwood and Dr Layla Aitlhadj, will be sharing their thoughts in this special East London talk on Monday 6 November 2023.
