This seat is currently held by R4GV. If we win, the Lib Dems will become the largest opposition party on Surrey County Council and the official opposition to the Tories in Surrey!

Not only that, but this by-election is being held in a vital area for the battle to be Guildford’s next MP. The Horsleys (East & West Horsley, Effingham, East Clandon, Ripley) have all become part of the new Guildford constituency with the latest boundary changes. This means that if we mount a strong campaign here, it’ll give us a great headstart in this area against the Tories in the general election.
