Meet leading political journalist and commentator Ian Dunt, in conversation with Victoria Collins, the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Harpenden and Berkhamsted.

Ian will discuss his new book How Westminster Works, and Why it Doesn't, which details the British political system, its faults and his prescriptions for a better politics.

Ian Dunt spent several years working in the heart of Westminster as editor of Politics.co.uk. He is podcast host of Oh God What Now and Origin Story, regularly appears as a political pundit on TV and radio and is the author of two previous books – Brexit: What the Hell Happens Now and How to be a Liberal.

Ian will be available after the discussion to sign copies of his books, for sale on-site from our friends at Harpenden Books.

Doors will open at 6pm, and the event will run from 6.30pm - 9.30pm.

Find us upstairs in the Pullman room at the Harpenden Arms.

Proceeds from this event will support campaigning efforts for the Liberal Democrats in Harpenden.

What is the Handling Charge for?

To ensure tickets are delivered safely and securely and to keep the price as low as possible for you, the ticket buyer, Liberal Democrats generally uses our E-ticket system unless otherwise stated.

For this service we charge a small Handling Fee to cover the debit/credit card processing fees, customer services, processing and distribution of tickets and our secure server costs. We always try to keep these costs to an absolute minimum. If you feel at any time that our prices are not fair or competitive we'd be happy to hear from you.

Delivery

If you have ordered physical paper tickets there is a further Delivery cost added to cover the delivery of your order through the Royal Mail network.

We always endeavour to keep these costs as low as possible to merely cover the costs of postage. We only charge you one Delivery cost per order so if there is a big group of you recommend purchasing larger amounts in one order.

When you purchase tickets through Liberal Democrats, the full face value of the ticket is shown. This price is the price set by the event organiser and we pay this full amount to the organiser without any deductions.
