Event Details

Our annual Learning From The Elections meeting for the North West.

An afternoon reflecting on the campaign and results of the May elections in the North West. With 31 councils up - the majority having 'all up' elections - we made a net gain of 9 seats across the North West and 407 nationwide.

We moved forward on several councils including Liverpool and Stockport, but lost seats on some councils as well. What worked, what didn't, what should we learn and how do we build on the results for 2024.

Open to Lib Dem party members across the region but especially for candidates, agents, canvassers, campaign organisers, leafleters and anyone else who has been actively working on Lib Dem campaigns in the North West over recent months.

Take the 192 bus from Manchester Piccadilly south. After the dip down-and-up to Stockport's main shopping centre there are two more stops, one at the train station/McDonalds and one just after the Town Hall opposite Stockport College. Get off at the next stop after this - there is a Co-Op in front of you and the bus stop is immediately outside the Guildhall.
