The Rhondda Cynon Taff Liberal Democrats
are meeting for a slice of local history, at the Rhondda Heritage Park, Coedcae Road, Rhondda, CF37 2NP, on Saturday the 20th of May at 12pm Midday (by the main entrance).
Entry into the small museum, shop and exhibitions gallery (upstairs) is free, though you may also wish to join one of the frequent miner’s tours on the day – this is down to individual choice and is bookable directly with the Heritage Park, at £7.95/adult (price correct at time of going to press).
There’s also free access to the museum courtyard, where you’ll be able to read about the life of pit ponies; see locally mined drams of coal or marvel, up close, at the 140 foot, Victorian brick chimney.
And, to finish off, there’s a small café, where we can sit, relax and chat or, for those that prefer, the Heritage Park Hotel (with bar and food) is just next door.
There’s ample, on-site free parking, plus bus stop nearby, so getting there couldn’t be easier.
We’ll be running a small raffle on the day, to help with campaign funds, so please help by buying some tickets – there’s a bottle of Cava bubbly to be won!
And please feel free to invite friends and family too!
We look forward to seeing you there!
